There is an analogy we use with regard to RSMR's approach to retained executive search. When Chris Swan, our CEO, was at Officer Candidate School in the Navy, he was required to keep his boots polished to a "high gloss shine." Chris quickly learned the secret to achieving one: small circles. Moving carefully, thoroughly and efficiently across the entire boot is the key to producing that perfect high gloss shine the first time.
It's the same with retained search. The key to a successful search is using a thorough, some say, granular approach. We dig deeper. We talk to more people. We network more extensively than other firms to make sure that we evaluate all possible candidates and ultimately identify the single best individual for a given role.
We formed RSMR in 1997 to help companies identify strategic leaders. Our promise to our clients is simple: We do it right the first time. The employment process is too important to make a mistake.
