Challenges:

The Project Manager, Environmental Aftermarket Services serve as a key leader in an emerging business area for our client. Historically, our client has not been proactive in pursuing environmental aftermarket services needs.  Our client’s goal is for the Environmental Aftermarket Services group’s revenue to reach $50M in five years. This leader will play an integral role in growing and shaping this new business area by aggressively pursuing and executing project opportunities in the North American market.

The successful candidate will bring strong business development abilities to turn leads into viable business opportunities.  This individual will use exceptional organizational and project leadership skills to oversee the profitable execution of complicated aftermarket projects in the $100K-10M range.  The position provides the opportunity to partake in a wide variety of roles including prospecting, proposal writing, presenting services to clients, networking, managing team members, contracting, estimating, and assisting with technical aspects of projects.  With the growth of the Environmental Aftermarket Services business area, the right individual will enjoy significant career growth opportunities within the organization.

Job Scope:

- Works closely with our client’s sales team to turn leads and customer needs into viable opportunities.
- Develops and follows through on aftermarket opportunities from the business development stage through conceptual design and detailed engineering of innovative solutions to execution of the project in the field.
- Performs condition assessment of existing equipment and systems.
- Develops proposals for engineering studies through firm quotations for delivered and installed equipment and systems.
- Utilizes high level engineering skills.  Superior ability to apply judgment to come up with the winning solution to upgrade challenges.
- Performs proposal and project engineering and management on the most complex of aftermarket projects.
- Works within a matrix organization to bring together needed resources.
- Manages sublet engineering resources, equipment vendors and fabricators.
- Responsible for meeting sales goals, as-sold profitability, schedules and performance.

Experience / Education Required:

- BS degree in engineering; Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
- Proven track record of identifying and winning projects.
- Proven experience in profitable project execution.
- Ten plus years of progressive experience with multiple environmental products and projects.
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment.
