With over 2,500 members & advocates, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is the hub of the wind energy industry. AWEA promotes wind energy as a clean source of electricity for consumers around the world.

AWEA is a national trade association representing wind power project developers, equipment suppliers, services providers, parts manufacturers, utilities, researchers, and others involved in the wind industry – one of the world’s fastest growing energy industries. In addition, AWEA represents hundreds of wind energy advocates from around the world.

The Association provides up-to-date information on:
- wind energy projects operating;
- new projects in various stages of development;
- companies working in the wind energy field;
- technology development; and
- policy developments related to wind and other renewable energy development.

ACORE is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. with paying members from every aspect and sector of the renewable energy industries and their trade associations, including wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and biofuels, hydropower tidal/current energy and waste energy. The scope of ACORE’s membership also spans – among others – financial institutions, government leaders, educators, end-users, professional service providers and allied non-profit groups.

ACORE accomplishes much of its work by convening the leaders in each of these sectors, publishing collaborative research and facilitating communications among members, their stakeholders and the media.

An offshoot of management consulting, retained executive search has, over the past 50 years, played a major role in the identification and recruitment of senior executive talent for many different organizations in a wide variety of industries and countries.

The AESC promotes the highest professional standards in executive search through its industry-recognized Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Guidelines. Such is the nature of executive search and the impact that it can have on the success of organizations and individuals that compliance with these guidelines is fundamental to the reputation and credibility of the profession. The AESC has also developed practical documents for those involved with executive search such as the Client Bill of Rights, Client Charter and Candidate’s Bill of Rights. The AESC also serves to broaden public understanding of the executive recruitment process and acts as an advocate for the interests of its member executive search firms.

Buildings represent a tremendous opportunity to mitigate climate change, conserve water, reduce pollution and nurture human health. The Independent Power Producers Human Resources National Conference (IPPHRNC) was established in 1989 with a vision of bringing human resources professionals together to network and exchange information on specific issues and trends facing them during this period of rapid domestic and international growth. Formally incorporated in 1995 as IPPHRNC, changed in 1997 to Independent Power Human Resources Association (IPHRA), and changed in (2008) to Independent Energy Human Resources Association (IEHRA), the group has developed into a professional association which focuses on human resource issues affecting all aspects of the independent energy industry.

The Independent Energy Human Resources Association (IEHRA) is a professional organization which focuses on human resource issues affecting the entire spectrum of the independent energy industry. Human resources professionals in the independent energy industry are constantly challenged with providing effective cost-efficient solutions to the global issues facing their management and employees. IEHRA provides a setting to collectively examine these issues and exchange ideas with peers. It also provides companies with current data to compare their own human resource practices with others in the industry.

Representing more than 250,000 members in over 140 countries, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Founded in 1948, SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters within the United States and subsidiary offices in China and India.

SHRM provides resources, global best practices and a network of valuable contacts to more than 5,000 members in over 140 countries, in addition to U.S.-based HR professionals involved in global HR.
