Challenges:
The CEO (Managing Director) will be responsible for leading our client’s North American operations, which will include opening up and staffing an office in North America, and driving their brand across the entire industry. This individual will lead the creation and management of long term, sustainable relationships with customers, creating win-win goals and objectives.

Job Scope:
- The CEO (Managing Director) will be responsible for the staffing of all positions in North America including: project sales, project management, service and maintenance, general administration including, finance, accounting and reporting, corporate compliance, human resources, marketing and quality assurance.
Management:
- Ensure that the North American subsidiary operates in a manner which fully and accurately reflects the strategies, plans, structures and procedures of the client’s global operations.
- Ensure that this North American subsidiary operates in full compliance with domestic corporations and civil law.
- Recruit and maintain a management team with the skills and experience to fulfil company strategies and functions.
- Overview and assist in the management of functional areas to ensure financial management and reporting meets business requirements.
Finance:
- Develop business plans and corresponding financial budgets.
- Manage generally business expenses and finances, to maintain thorough and disciplined accounting and reporting systems, and to maintain business expenditure within budgeted levels.
- Meet timely monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting requirements.
Operations:
- Develop and maintain operational structures for the business and certify these structures through external quality assessments.
- Establish a business environment that is safe and legally compliant for employees.
- Develop and implement general risk management processes.
- Act as a key customer contact to develop sales opportunities with both small players like regional IPP’s as well as utilities.
- Oversee the execution of project contracts.
- Maintain an efficient and financially viable service operation.
- Ensure a comprehensive and timely flow of information from business operations to client’s directors and officers.
Experience / Education Required:
- BS in engineering, MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive wind business experience.
- Experience developing and managing P&L.
- Demonstrated competence in managing a successful project execution organization.
- Ability to identify, mentor and develop key talent.
- Proven ability to lead and grow a large group of professionals of different technical disciplines.
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong customer-centric focus and the ability o build lasting relationships.
- Fluency and proficiency in German preferred but not required.
