With difficult economic conditions, stiff competition for winning projects, and the ever increasing contractual demands of clients, market diversification is crucial to giving the business long-term vitality.  Our client needs to capitalize on identifying the most profitable construction opportunities and establishing long term client relationships in multiple industry sectors.  To accomplish these goals, we are seeking a knowledgeable, creative, and reputable professional who can provide the leadership and direction to succeed.

Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to join and lead the company’s growth and expansion into new markets, diversifying the company’s client base.  As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will be the company’s lead strategist and business developer, taking sole responsibility for increasing the firm’s visibility across multiple markets.  The leader we seek must be an energetic professional with proven experience in creating and executing a strategic business development plan.  The winning candidate will have endless growth opportunities and will be recognized as a key contributor to the company’s future success in the marketplace.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and President, this position could have potential management responsibilities.

Job Scope:

- Develop, execute and lead a strategic business plan to position the company for long term success in expanding markets.
- Actively identify prospective clients across diverse markets and lead internal teams to successfully win those relationships.
- Evaluate current marketing materials and make necessary recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate and work with executive leadership and internal teams to help prospect key market relationships.
- Lead the company’s growth initiatives including internal and external growth.
- Maintain marketing budget.

Experience / Education Required:

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- Proven track record in identifying business opportunities, developing a strategic plan and working with the internal teams to successfully win new business.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain new relationships with key leaders in healthcare, private schools and universities, commercial and industrial markets.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Team oriented and hands on approach to all segments in the business.
- Solid attention to detail.
