For more than three decades, the firm has developed into a comprehensive multi-disciplinary A/E firm active in the core markets of healthcare, aviation, transportation, corporate architecture and environmental services.  Strategic planning has long been an integral part of doing business at our client and has resulted in the clear definition of their vision that has allowed them to achieve their current market position.  The firm is a private company with widely held employee ownership reflecting a philosophy of integrity, teamwork, respect and commitment to success.  Our client’s Strategic Plan commits the firm to managed growth, which includes emphasis on geographical expansion into the Southwest and Midwest areas.  Having planned and designed over two billion square feet of patient service space, they have carved out a niche service within the Healthcare practice.

The Healthcare Consulting Services Group provides front end consulting services that include strategic planning, work flow process analysis, facility master planning, clinical/operations consulting, infrastructure assessment, functional and space programming, capital expense planning, equipment planning, life safety compliance analysis and land planning.  The practice currently has two nurses, two architects, one strategic planner and two master planners.  The Consulting Service Group is in need of regional leadership.  The ideal candidate to lead this practice will have the desire and experience in growing and driving a healthcare practice, developing programs, recruiting people, and must have operations management and project management experience.

Building a Healthcare Consulting Services practice is a challenge and demands technical savvy as well as management competence, leadership and business acumen.  The drive and desire to make an impact within a leading, national practice is essential.  This person must also be motivated and inspired to promote practice initiatives and growth.  Because this position is critical to our client’s operations, this individual must have demonstrated experience and the respect of his or her peers and supervisors.   Experience and recognized projects within the Healthcare market as a consultant, architect or owner’s rep is needed.

This individual will make authoritative decisions and recommendations having an important impact on the strategy and long-term vision of the practice.  He or she will Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key healthcare contacts and clients, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.  Individuals at this level must demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented consulting complexities, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guidelines for diverse practice activities.

Experience / Education Required:

- BS Arch or MS Public Administration.
- 10-15 years of experience in design and project management experience on projects within the Healthcare market.
