The Senior Section Manager will face the challenge of managing an established water and wastewater practice in the Mid-Atlantic Region and will be responsible for the expansion, training and professional development of technical staff and the development of new business and overall leadership of the practice throughout the region. The best candidate will possess not only excellent technical skills, but superior communication skills, innovative management skills, strategic vision, effective team building aptitude, business development expertise, and an in-depth understanding of all practice services including planning, engineering, construction management and program management. This individual will leverage his or her expertise in winning and leading large-scale construction management, program management, and/or design projects to build a local operation that is the #1 provider of water and wastewater treatment services. More than anything, this individual must possess the desire and energy to lead and grow this section into the foremost water and wastewater practice in the region.
This is a newly created position designed to tap into the right leader’s winning attitude, entrepreneurialism, and strong business acumen; his or her ability to develop business with targeted regional clients; and the multiple talents needed to lead, manage, and recruit for the best water and wastewater practice in the region. Experience / Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 15 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction programs.
- PE required.
- Demonstrated competence in managing a business unit and programs of similar size and complexity.
- Ability to develop new or innovative management systems to advance the performance of programs.
- Proven ability to lead and grow a large group of professionals of different technical disciplines.
- Professional certification by state and/or national organization(s) in professional discipline.
