Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility 11 Social ResponsibilityLeadership in community service, particularly in the arena of environmental protection, is a core component of RSMR’s corporate mission.  Working at both the local and national levels, RSMR supports a myriad of different organizations, including:  Friends of the Chicago River, Chicago Cares, Miri Likes Art, Friends of Edgewater Park, The Salvation Army, The Special Olympics, and The Concord Coalition.  The triple bottom line – People, Planet, Profits – is a mantra RSMR takes to heart every day.

RSMR in the Community: Both the company and individual employees donate time and resources to local organizations, supporting charitable causes in our community and across the country.  With a commitment to serve others and lend a helping hand wherever and whenever possible, RSMR encourages individual volunteer efforts and sponsors several company-wide volunteer events.  As examples of service, our team painted a classroom for the Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon and played bingo with seniors while serving lunch at Booth Manor Housing.  Our employees also sit on executive boards of non-profits that support the creation of local parks, the local arts, and responsible government activity.

RSMR and the Environment: We are a pioneer in supporting the environment as part of our business plan.  As an early adopter in the renewable energy industry, RSMR has been very successful in this sector for more than a decade.  By helping organizations find the right talent to grow what was a small industry in the early 1990′s, we have helped it mature into a growing sector that continues to evolve and develop.  To complement these efforts, we also volunteer our time helping clean local parks and have a recycling program at our offices.
