Formed in late 2006, our client is a Chicago-based junior capital fund with ~$400MM in committed capital. The firm primarily invests in the junior capital tranche (second lien or mezzanine) of middle-market leveraged buyouts. The company seeks a high-performing individual with the following qualifications to join its investment team as Vice President.
Experience / Education Required:
- Seasoned leverage finance professional with 10+ years experience in analyzing, structuring and closing leveraged finance transactions as well as monitoring ongoing investment performance.
- Exceptional analytical skills including familiarity Microsoft Office and other common investment research tools.
- Ability to understand and negotiate transaction legal documentation.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills including ability to write clear and concise credit correspondence.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Desire to work in entrepreneurial environment with limited support.
- Ability and willingness to work on special projects outside of core job responsibilities.
- MBA and/ or previous CLO or mezzanine investment experience preferred.
